Sydenham, Christchurch

(Design and Build)

This is a 830m² land with an old house on it. The location is very good, very close to the traditional business district. It is a good area recognized by the locals in Christchurch. According to the city plan, it can be divided into 2 titles. According to our experience analysis: the original old house is located in the front, so it  should be kept, and a new house should be built on the back. This is a good project that is suitable for both living and investment.

Our approach is:

  • Renovated the old house with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom into 4 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.

  • A new house was built with 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Among them, 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom are for the owner to live in, and the other 4 rooms are rented room by room. The kitchen design considers sufficient storage space, so that each tenant has their own cabinets and refrigerators. Which is convenient for the landlord to manage. The room is specially designed with a writing desk with a bookshelf, which is convenient for tenants to study and work.

Since it was built in 2011, the owners have always thanked us for designing and building such a good house for them to live and investment.
